Staff Development

Shepparton Private Hospital is committed to ensuring continuing professional development opportunities are available to staff through creating, promoting and supporting education in the following ways:

Internal Training & Development

We are committed to promoting and encouraging the personal and professional development of our staff by offering an internal education program ranging from  clinical, administrative and management skills.  A calendar of training and education events is published and distributed to staff.

Hospital Orientation

At the commencement of employment, all staff are required to attend our Orientation Program.  In addition to the hospital orientation all staff are provided with comprehensive orientation to the department in which they are employed.

External Education Assistance

We support staff in attending externally run courses and programs.  This includes short courses, seminars/workshops, higher education at TAFE/ Universities or conferences.  Staff wishing to apply for support for such programs are required to submit an application to the Director of Clinical Services for approval.

Traineeship and Apprenticeship opportunities

We support our staff to complete traineeships / apprenticeships in a variety of roles including nursing, technicians, hotel services and administration.
