Mr Viral Shah is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with more than 19 years of experience.
Mr Viral Shah did his medical degree and orthopaedic training overseas and worked as an orthopaedic consultant before moving to Australia. In Australia, he completed fellowship in orthopaedics. His extensive experience includes sub-speciality training in joint replacement, trauma and paediatric orthopaedics in Japan and the USA, along with St. Vincent Hospital, Sydney and The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne.
Mr Shah has a special interest in less invasive joint replacements, sports injuries and complex fractures. He also has extensive experience in paediatric orthopaedics. Viral is committed to delivering high quality medical care. He believes in incorporating technology into his practice and uses computer navigation in his knee replacement surgeries.
He is also actively involved in medical education and is currently a member of Royal Australian College of Surgeons Educators Committee. He is currently an associate lecturer at Melbourne University and has been a conjoint lecturer at Flinder’s University. He is also a member of several professional organisations.
