This month we will inform you about our Catering Services

We take particular pride in ensuring that the dietary needs of patients are met by providing a wide range of menu choices.

We base our menu on fresh produce which is sourced from local businesses. All our meals are cooked onsite and we are committed to providing home style cooking for our patients.

Cultural needs are also well catered for.

We make sure our catering service provides the right type and amounts of food and in a form that is suitable for the patients’ stage of care.

The Dietitian – Wendy Swan provides support and consultation for patients and catering staff.

Examples of special diets catered for include:

• Gluten Free
• Diabetic
• Vegetarian
• Low Fat.

Our catering department team includes qualified cooks who have completed specific training related to hospital food services.

Our nurses, doctors and food services staff all contribute to food service team ensuring patients needs are met.

Meals are available at low cost for families needing to remain close by while their relatives are cared for.

We also provide meals for Staff and Doctors who, like our patients appreciate the little extra touches such as warm scones for morning tea.

Free Community Health Education Evening

Monday 23rd May 2005 at 7pm at the hospital

“Lumps, Bumps and Spots - is it Skin Cancer?”

Mr Hunt will present information on common skin cancers, diagnosis and treatment options and answer any question you may have.

Hospital Nursing staff will also be available to answer any questions you may have regarding admission to the hospital
